He smiled and handed the girl a small bracelet “Well, i would like you to have this Rapunzel, may i call you Punzy?” He helped tighten the bracelet around her small wrist and she noticed the royal crest of Andalasia. “It is an honor to have on of those in Andalasia, i hope you keep it with you always, and do come visit me soon. I’m sure your mother would be happy to come with you.
“Punzy…? Yeah!” She nodded and giggled. She’d never had a nickname before! She examined the bracelet with wide eyes gleaming, and nodded.
“Okay! I will!” She beamed up at the prince.

“Hello, Rapunzel.” Jane beamed. ”How are you today?”
“Hi Jane!” Rapunzel giggled and waved excitedly. “I’m doing really good, ‘specially cuz I was really sick and I had to take lots of naps.”
“Oh, I’m so sorry to hear that, dear!” Jane cried. ”But you are doing better? Did your mother take very good care of you?” She almost cringed to anticipate the answer.
“Yes, Mother took really good care of me, and she made lots of hazelnut soup cuz it’s my favorite but it tastes different when you’re sick, did you know that?” Rapunzel rambled on.
“I did know that,” Jane confirmed, making a face. ”I hate being sick because nothing tastes good. But I’ve never had hazelnut soup. What does it taste like?”
“Well, it tastes like butternut squash, and hazelnut, an’ green apple, a little bit of chicken an’ it’s alllll yummy! Unless you’re sick, then it’s kinda bland.”
“It sounds yummy,” agreed Jane enthusiastically. ”Well, what are you up to now you’re all better?”
“Ummm… painting!” She points to her wardrobe door, now covered in pretty little vines.

What a familiar face! Rapunzel giggled a bit and chirped out a sweet “hello”.

“How do you know my name?”
“I just guessed it?”
The little girl gives him a suspicious look before smiling again. “You’re a good guesser!”
” Thank you.” Flynn smiled back at her.
“Do you guess everyone’s names?”
” No.”
“Really? Then why did you guess mine?” Rapunzel asked, mildly confused. People outside the tower could be so weird!

Rapunzel looked up at the man, curiously. What could he be doing here?
“Hello!”
Edward smiled at he oddly familiar little girl “Well Hello there sweetie.”
“My name is Rapunzel, who are you?”
“I am Prince Edward.” He smiled at the little girl, feeling he already knew her somehow.
The little girl gasped and whispered. “I’ve never met a prince, before…”
He smiled and knelt before the little girl. “Well, I am Prince Edward of Andalasia. The land where one’s dreams always come true.”
And she was instantly entranced. “Really?! What’s it like there? Is it magic that makes dreams come true?”
He smiled and sat down next to the little girl “Well, it’s very beautiful, especially this time of year. There are plenty of animals, who can all talk and sing, and all the people there are so kind. And at night, you can see all the stars from whichever spot you are standing. And yes, the magic is part of what makes everyone’s dreams come true. That is why i love being prince there.”
Rapunzel’s jaw dropped just imagining such a place. Compared to her tower, it sounded like heaven…
“It sounds amazing!”
Edward smiled “Maybe one day, I could show you around. You seem like the kind of girl who would truly enjoy it.”
“Really?!” Rapunzel bounced up before remembering her mother- “Well… we’d have to ask Mother, first, because she knows lots of things, like what’s best for me, an’ she doesn’t like me going anywhere without her knowing.” …. Or any where at all, really, but the girl felt it wasn’t necessary.
